Tesla cars collect more data than previously thought

The Netherlands Forensic Institute has found that tesla cars specifically models S, X, Y and the Tesla Model 3 collect more important data than was previously known, this data can be very useful in investigations and accidents vehicles, the data that Tesla stores among others, are about the driver assistance system such as the autopilot, vehicle speed, steering wheel angle, throttle position, steering wheel angle and brake activation, according to Francis Hoogendijk, digital researcher of the NFI, "This data contains a wealth of information for forensic investigators and traffic accident analysts and can aid in a criminal investigation after a fatal or injured car accident."
